5 Fast Tips for Set Up:
Safety first! Only use supplies that are safe for your pet to lick, climb on, and live with.
Never use tape. No matter how secure it may be when it's placed, the consequences of your pet finding an exposed sticky surface far outweighs the convenience.
Most liquid adhesives contain harmful chemicals that your pet may ingest or inhale. Purchase pet safe glue, such as Gorilla Glue, and ensure that it dries completely and carries no scent.
We are all for using natural materials from your area, just make sure you look up suggested baking or boiling temperatures to clean the materials you would like to add. This will help make sure you aren't adding anything extra.
Certain wood and materials may mold quicker than others. We do carry cork bark, spider wood, and many other types of wood known to be more resistant to molding, but monitoring moisture build up and removing contaminated material is necessary to prevent serious health issues for your pet.
The best research you can do before setting up a bioactive enclosure, is into the behavior and negative habits of your potential animal that could land them in harms way. For snakes, loose lids and small holes can lead to escape or getting stuck, which can lead to your snake losing their life. Expect that if looks small enough to eat that they will try, and that if looks big enough to get through they'll try. If they might, they will. We are super, super, super happy to help you troubleshoot where things could go wrong, and have a combined wealth of experience to share.
